MS Reinsurance is seeking a temporary Catastrophe Modelling Analyst in Miami to support underwriting pricing with tailored modelling insights. You will provide analytical support, prepare narrative figures, and act as a primary contact for underwriters on pricing queries, ensuring timely, accurate delivery.

The role requires a completed degree in a relevant field and strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Mathematics, Natural Science, Physics, Engineering or in a similar discipline.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to various audiences.
• Good communicator who is able to interact with underwriters.
• Teamwork and relationship building skills.
• Good self-management and time management discipline.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think out of the box.
• Reliable, proactive, independent.
• Attention to detail.
• Work experience in a related field, preferably in insurance, would be an asset.
• Knowledge in Databases, GIS, Microsoft Power Platform, coding in SQL/Python would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Providing analytical support to underwriters throughout client quoting process and providing narrative support for all catastrophe modelled figures whilst ensuring all appropriate checks are carried out.
• Being a key point of contact for the underwriters with queries relating to the pricing of accounts.
• Assisting with client and broker relationships with the ability to deal with enquiries in an efficient professional manner.
• Turning around all pricing requests to meet deadlines in a professional and accurate manner by ensuring appropriate checks are carried out.
• Performing ad hoc analytics.
