Job summary

Aon is seeking a Catastrophic (CAT) Modeler to join our Reinsurance team in Miami. This hybrid role offers remote work and in-office collaboration, and you will help build and maintain in-house CAT modeling tools for inland CAT applications.

You will coordinate with analysts, prepare client-ready presentations, analyze data, and communicate findings. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, English/Spanish bilingual skills are essential, and experience with Excel, Access, PowerPoint,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, economics, actuarial, finance, engineering, geology or related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Advanced Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills preferred.
• Python and/or SQL knowledge preferred.
• Take ownership of tasks including data analysis, written reports and presentations.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide catastrophe modeling support across projects.
• Prepare client-ready presentations and reports.
• Collaborate with brokers, actuaries, rating agencies and others on client projects.
• Provide data analyses and document findings in written reports and verbal communication.
• Provide real-time loss estimates for catastrophic events in Latin America.
• Develop proficiency in CatMetrica and SQL.
• Enhance understanding of (re)insurance terms and how they affect modeling output.
