Clariant Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a PPCAT Shift Leader to direct a 5–7 person operator team on a 12-hour Pittman schedule. You will coordinate daily shift activities to meet safety, quality, and production targets, while driving continuous improvement and mentoring staff.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent experience, leadership skills, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education or more than five years of related experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; more than two years of leadership experience (Catalysts preferred).
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office; ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret production performance data.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a modified rotating Pittman schedule, alternating days and nights, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Ability to complete plant-specific and emergency response training and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations in compliance with environmental, safety, and health regulations and Clariant standards.
• Conduct safety discussions and walkthroughs; identify hazards and take action to improve safety.
• Plan, assign, and direct work based on production priorities and staffing.
• Coordinate resources to meet targets for quantity, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Monitor production quality; address abnormalities and implement corrective actions to improve First Pass Quality.
• Oversee operator training and development; provide coaching and feedback.
• Develop and update work instructions and SOPs; issue Safe Work Permits.
