Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a CAT Scanner Technologist to perform CT imaging, prepare patients, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images in a weekend-heavy WOW schedule with premium pay.

The role involves patient education, safety, infection control, and supervision of students in training, with opportunities for tuition assistance and relocation support.

Qualifications

• State Radiography License required.
• ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) certification within 1 year of hire or temporary license with same requirement.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images meeting standards.
• Prepare patients, educate and address questions about procedures.
• Ensure age-appropriate communication, safety and infection control.
• Oversee and train students as part of their clinical education.

Responsibilities

This is a WOW (Work on Weekends) position. Schedules for WOW employees include every weekend (Nights - Friday & Saturday, Days - Saturday & Sunday). Employees in designated WOW positions earn premium pay in addition to their competitive hourly rates and shift differential

The CAT Scanner Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
