Lifepoint Health® is seeking a Cat Scan Technologist (PRN) at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA. In this role, you will review patient orders, prepare patients for scans, and assist the radiologist in executing CT procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology or expect to graduate within 90 days.
• ARRT, RT (R) eligible upon hire, registered within 60 days.
• ARRT, RT (CT) within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient orders, ensuring appropriate studies are ordered and performed in accordance with insurance specifications and diagnosis.
• Responds to inquiries regarding CT scans, procedures, and processes.
• Prepares patient for intravenous contrast by inserting IV catheter.
• Positions, transfers and provides immobilization to patients as required.
• Manipulates computer images for proper scanning sequences.
• Assists radiologist during special CT scans.
• Prepares room and patients for procedures as needed.
• Performs all computerized axial tomographic examinations, image manipulation and post‑processing functions, and implements software capabilities required by the radiologist/departmental policy/protocol, including instructing patients and selecting techniques and protocols.

Qualifications

Applicants should be a Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology or anticipate graduating within 90 days of application and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Clinical rotations associated with a school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT, RT (R) eligible upon hire date and ARRT, RT(R) registered within 60 days of hire.
• ARRT, RT (CT) within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification.
