Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a CT Tech (CT Technician) to join our diagnostic imaging team. This on-site role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment and weekend day shifts.

As part of Lifepoint Health, you will review histories and orders, educate patients, administer contrast, monitor status, and ensure image quality through proper positioning and troubleshooting. ARRT registration and BLS/ACLS/PALS/ASLS are required or attained soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Must have a 2 year certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Implements safety standards and quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and resolves issues.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes results and addresses image quality issues.

How you'll contribute

A CT Tech who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
• Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
• Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and
• repeating procedure.

What we're looking for

Must have a 2 year certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree as well as a current ARRT registration.Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
