Job summary

St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center, part of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, is seeking an experienced radiology technologist to perform MDCT procedures and CT IR work.

You will produce high-quality images, select protocols, and ensure proper patient identification and safety. You must hold a NYS radiographer license, ARRT registration, and AMA-accredited radiologic technology training, with knowledge of CT.

Qualifications

• NYS radiographer's license
• AMERICAN Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration
• BLS certification
• Completion of AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
• Knowledge and working experience in Computed Tomography

Responsibilities

• Performs MDCT procedures with independent judgment and initiative.
• Performs CT IR procedures.
• Produces and evaluates CT images for technical quality and accuracy.
• Documents delivery of contrast media.
• Adheres to hospital and regulatory requirements.

Job Details

12PM-8PM, working Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, alternating Saturdays 4p-12a, Sundays 4p-12a, with rotating holidays

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of clinical and research MDCT procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and imitative.
• Performs CT IR Procedures
• The technologists will produce and evaluate CT images for technical quality, properly identifies images and patient and effectively uses judgment for protocols and procedures.
• Medication oversight which includes documentation of delivery of contrast media.
• Adheres to St. Francis hospital and departmental policies and procedures and JCAHO/regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements

• NYS radiographer's license
• Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technology
• BLS required
• Completion of Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school
• Knowledge and working experience in Computerized Tomography required.

Salary Range

USD $54.51 - USD $67.48 /Hr.
