Job summary

Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, KY seeks a Cat Scan Technologist to join our imaging team. You will perform CT procedures, monitor patients and ensure image quality in a fast-paced, community hospital setting.

The role requires ARRT certification in CT within 1 year of hire, BLS/HCP and adherence to safety standards. Experience with contrast media and patient care is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth and continuing education.

Qualifications

  • 1 year in Radiologic technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, Nuclear Medicine, or CT procedures preferred.
  • BLS-HCP required.
  • ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry required.
  • ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) required (within 1 year hire/transfer).

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with image quality; takes action to resolve.

Position Summary

  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
  • Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.

  • Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications

1 year in Radiologic technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, Nuclear Medicine, or CT procedures preferred.

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) required;
  • ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry required.
  • ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) required (within 1 year hire/transfer).
