Job summary

Harnish Group Inc. in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Construction Equipment Technician for The CAT Rental Store. You will diagnose, repair and assemble Caterpillar, Allied and Genie equipment, working on engines, powertrains, and hydraulic systems to keep rental fleets running.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical training, a valid driver's license, and the ability to stand for long periods. We offer a competitive wage of $30.50–$41.70 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with CAT dealership or CAT products ideal.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook).
• Standing for up to eight hours; shop or field work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Caterpillar, Allied and Genie equipment including removal, repair, assembly and installation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems using CAT diagnostic equipment.
• Plan and organize work to control job costs across multiple projects.
• Investigate and identify problems to make effective recommendations.
• Communicate clearly and complete service orders using internal software.
