Job summary

Mustang Cat in Willis, TX is seeking a Cat Compact Sales Representative to connect customers with CAT compact construction equipment. You will assist walk-in and inbound customers, qualify leads, and develop new business opportunities while supporting sales, parts, and service teams in Willis.

The role favors bilingual English/Spanish candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, customer service excellence, and consultative sales skills.

Qualifications

• College degree in Business, Management, Technical, or related field preferred (equivalent work experience considered).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand construction equipment applications.
• Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and consultative sales skills.
• Professional communication skills (verbal, written, phone, email, and in-person).
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective negotiation skills and a competitive, results-driven mindset.
• Ability to think quickly, solve problems, and perform in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Salary + Commission pay schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in and inbound customers with purchasing CAT compact construction equipment, including skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, mini excavators, and other machinery.
• Qualify inbound sales leads and support outside sales efforts to identify new business opportunities.
• Help customers identify equipment solutions based on their applications, jobsite needs, and business goals.
• Promote Mustang Cat's equipment, parts, service, and customer support capabilities.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, equipment requests, and sales opportunities.
• Develop new customer accounts and expand relationships with existing customers.
• Meet and exceed assigned sales goals and performance targets.
• Monitor competitor activity and compact equipment market trends in the Willis area.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Complete required professional development, product knowledge, and sales training.
