Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in a related field.
• Requires at least 7 years of previous people management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, procedures and techniques, including coverage issues, product lines, marketing and competition.
• Advanced knowledge of a technical specialty.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting strategy for US Standard Casualty and set risk appetite for the portfolio.
• Own pricing, profitability, and overall performance of the business unit.
• Develop and execute the product line underwriting strategy in collaboration with LM Re heads and regional product lines.
• Represent LM Re with brokers, ceding companies, and internal stakeholders across the U.S. Casualty market.
• Lead and develop the Casualty Underwriting team; oversee planning, forecasting, and quarterly business reviews.
