Ideal candidates have 5+ years as a Casualty underwriter, strong wholesale broker relationships, and proven ability to underwrite new business and renewals, while maintaining profitability and high service standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Casualty underwriter.
• Experience working with admitted and non-admitted paper.
• Ability to underwrite new business and renewal policies for Casualty.
• Deep wholesale broker trading relationships.
• Effective communication to articulate appetite and value proposition to brokers.
• Understanding of pricing and risk selection criteria to achieve profitable loss ratios.
• Advanced data analysis and portfolio management understanding.
• Innovative problem solving and solutioning skills.
• Customer service mindset and responsiveness.
• Entrepreneurial drive and team-win mindset.
• Willingness to travel to meet brokers or attend industry events.

Responsibilities

• Drive appetite submission flow with wholesale partners.
