Job summary

Arch Reinsurance Company offers an 8-week summer internship in Morristown, NJ. The program provides hands-on underwriting exposure across Casualty & Specialty, with training on deal sourcing, pricing, and negotiations.

Interns gain cross-functional collaboration experience, learn underwriting systems, and participate in capstone projects with mentoring feedback throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a relevant program with 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Sophomore status with expected graduation 2028–2029.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excel proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to Casualty & Specialty underwriting, including claims, actuarial, finance, and contracts.
• Participate in broker networking and team-building activities.
• Receive hands-on training from Underwriting on deal sourcing, analysis, pricing, and negotiations.
• Work on live deals and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Learn underwriting systems, processes and account setup, including core lines of business.
• Assist with research and provide information to the team.
