Job summary

Ryan Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, LLC, is seeking an experienced Broker Assistant to support a busy Casualty brokerage team in New York. This role focuses on keeping the brokerage process organized, responsive, and moving forward, with 1-3+ years of relevant experience.

You will partner with brokers on renewals, marketing preparation, documentation, and day-to-day client and market support while maintaining strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience in an insurance brokerage or related support role.
• Experience directly supporting brokers or a brokerage team preferred.
• Wholesale insurance and/or casualty experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to Casualty brokers.
• Assist with renewal and marketing materials preparation and coordination.
• Maintain accurate client and account information across internal systems.
• Organize and maintain account documentation, files, and transaction records.
• Respond to broker requests and keep timelines and follow-ups on track.
• Support recordkeeping, compliance, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with brokerage, finance, and internal teams to resolve needs.
