Job summary

asmglobal seeks a part-time, on-call event support specialist to assist with setups, changeovers, and operational tasks across our venues in the Pittsburgh area.

You will move tables, chairs, risers and other furniture between spaces and storage, install floor coverings and pipe & drape, assist with painting, snow removal, and perform heavy lifting as needed. Work is outdoors and indoors with irregular hours tied to events; flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of duties are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED preferred.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs overhead, and push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs. Bend, squat and work in awkward positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setups, changeovers and operational tasks as directed by the manager or supervisor.
• Move tables, chairs, risers, bleachers, staging and other furniture between event spaces and storage as directed.
• Installation and removal of floor coverings, pipe & drape, bike rack, etc.
• Painting as needed.
• Snow removal.
• Physical work/heavy lifting is common and required.
• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
• All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

POSITION AVAILABILITY:

• This part-time position offers flexible, on-call shifts based on event schedules and operational needs

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Activities occur both inside and outside. Some activities occur in temperatures below 32 for more than one-hour periods. Irregular hours dictated by events.
