Job summary

ASM Global in Center, Alabama is seeking a part-time, on-call event support associate to assist with setups and operations for a variety of venues. You will move tables, chairs, risers and other furniture between spaces, install floor coverings, pipe & drape, bike racks, and perform painting as needed, plus snow removal.

The work is physically demanding and requires flexibility for irregular hours based on events. High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Move tables, chairs, risers, bleachers, staging and other furniture between event spaces and storage as directed
• Installation and removal of floor coverings, pipe & drape, bike rack, etc.
• Painting as needed
• Snow removal
• Physical work/heavy lifting is common and required
• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur
• All other duties/responsibilities as assigned

POSITION AVAILABILITY:

• This part-time position offers flexible, on-call shifts based on event schedules and operational needs

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Activities occur both inside and outside. Some activities occur in temperatures below 32 for more than one-hour periods. Irregular hours dictated by events.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• High school diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs overhead, and push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs. Bend, squat and work in awkward positions
