Job summary

Calderdale Council is recruiting casual Swimming Teachers to support with the delivery of swimming lessons. The role will teach swimming and related aquatic activities to children and adults, including school groups or private lessons, on-site in Halifax.

Candidates should hold a Level 2 Swim England swimming teachers’ qualification or equivalent, be able to work on their own initiative and in a team, and be flexible to meet service needs. DBS clearance may be required before appointment.

To continue the growth of this service, the Swimming Development Team are looking to recruit a team of casual swimming teachers to support with the delivery of our swimming lessons. The role will be to teach swimming and other related aquatic activities to children and adults. Swimming may be taught to school groups or private out of school swimming lessons or both.

Ensure the smooth, safe operation of the Swimming Development Scheme and to provide high quality customer care.

The ideal candidate will have a level 2 Swim England swimming teachers’ qualification or equivalent, be able to work on own initiative and within a team. Be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
