Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages within our Leisure Centre. You will ensure learners feel supported and achieve their goals while upholding safety in and around the pool.

The role requires a Level 2 swimming teaching qualification and an Enhanced DBS check. Hours are casual, to fit needs, with a focus on providing great customer service and positive experiences for participants and their families.

Qualifications

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience.
• Communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme.
• Assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline.
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• An ability to deal with children and their parents
• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification
• Enhanced DBS check
