Summit Orthopedics in the Twin Cities area seeks a Casual Surgical Technician to support sterile technique and instrument handling across five Surgery Centers: Woodbury, Eagan, Vadnais Heights, Plymouth, and Minnetonka. • Demonstrates knowledge and practice of sterile techniques in the surgical suite.
• Ability to prepare the operating room and sterile field for planned procedures.
• Follows standard procedures in preparing the environment for surgeries.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instrumentation when needed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and practice of sterile techniques in the surgical suite.
• Prepares the operating room, sterile field/table for planned procedure.
• Follows standard procedures/protocols in the preparation of the environment for the surgical procedure.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate instrumentation when needed.
• Confines/contains contaminated instrumentation and equipment.
• May assist in reprocessing of surgical instrumentation if qualified.
