Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is hiring a Casual Sterile Processing Technician to support five Surgery Centers in Woodbury, Eagan, Vadnais Heights, Plymouth and Minnetonka. You will operate in decontamination, preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments with a flexible, shift-based schedule and a home base that may float to other locations as needed.

Nationally recognized Sterile Processing certification is highly desired on hire or must be obtained within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Certification in sterile processing highly desired or must be obtained within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments and supplies; assembles and wraps trays for sterilization.
• Monitors wash solutions for decontamination quality.
• Restocks and distributes instruments, trays, crash carts and equipment.
• Maintains inventory and cleanliness of sterile processing areas.
• Documents sterilization steps and maintains logs.
