Job summary

OCNE SBDC seeks a dedicated Small Business Advisor/Instructor to provide one-on-one advising to pre-venture and existing business owners in the Columbia Gorge region. You will develop and deliver training courses based on experience and interests, with flexible remote and hybrid options and opportunities for professional development.

You will also support the Small Business Management Programs, recruit and enroll clients, and advise in frontier communities across Gilliam, Sherman, and Wheeler

Qualifications

• We need someone with small business experience and credibility to advise entrepreneurs.
• Experience teaching adults is a plus.
• Spanish bilingual ability is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized confidential business advising to pre-venture and existing business owners.
• Assist established businesses with evolving management needs.
• Use web-based database to track client activities and hours; submit reports when requested.
• Travel throughout Mid-Columbia region, including Gilliam, Wheeler, and Sherman counties.
• Some in-person office presence required.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow SBDC policies.
• Provide economic impact reports and program support for SBDC management programs.
• Document economic impact and success stories from advising activities.
