Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a Casual Preschool Assistant-Substitute at the Crystal Lake Education Center. The role supports the assistant teacher in maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment and helps implement planned activities for preschool students.

The position requires a High School Diploma, with AA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. Duties include lesson preparation, supervision, and collaboration with the teaching team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• AA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a substitute teacher for the assistant teacher.
• Assist in planning and implementing a program of instruction that aligns with school goals and objectives.
• Maintain a safe, clean, learning environment and monitor children’s well-being and safety.
• Work with the teacher to create and implement lesson plans and materials.
• Assist in development assessments and keeping progress records.
• Support classroom management and positive behavior strategies.
