Job summary

UPMC Ambulance and Chair in Washington County, PA is seeking Casual Paramedics to join a forward-thinking EMS team delivering advanced life support in the prehospital setting. As a Paramedic, you will lead on scene, perform advanced assessments, coordinate care, and support EMT-Basics and AEMTs across 911 and non-emergency transports, covering urban to rural areas.

Qualifications

• Paramedic certification required.
• Ability to perform advanced life support and on-scene decision-making.
• Strong communication and teamwork with EMS partners.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 911 and non-emergency calls safely and professionally.
• Perform advanced patient assessments and treatment planning.
• Provide ALS interventions within PA scope of practice, including airway management and cardiac monitoring.
• Lead clinician on scene and coordinate care with EMTs, dispatch, and hospitals.
• Mentor EMT-Basics and AEMTs and document patient care reports.
