Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate assigned scanner(s) and produce diagnostic images with a patient-centered approach and excellent customer service. This casual/PRN role offers flexible scheduling and DailyPay access, with a pay range of $30.00-$45.69 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include explaining procedures, positioning patients, performing imaging with RIS documentation, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform mammography procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.
• Must have continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state specific.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced Mammography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury.
• Explain and prepare patients for Mammography imaging procedures.
• Adjust Mammography scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques.
• Follow physicians' orders precisely, conform to safety regulations, and accurately maintain patient records within RIS.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
• Monitor medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
• Assist with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise.
• Completes other tasks as assigned.
