Job summary

Westfields Hospital & Clinic is seeking a casual Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role covers patrols, emergency response and incident reporting, with shifts 6:00am-6:00pm or 6:00pm-6:00am on a flexible schedule.

You will perform department rounds, escorts, and unlocks, and assist during emergencies. A High School diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Experience in security or related field preferred.
• Healthcare security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital and off-site properties daily.
• Respond to emergencies and alarms per policy.
• Provide safety escorts and assist staff and visitors.
• Document incidents and payroll sign-in.
• Register patients quickly entering the emergency department.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards.
