Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Burnsville, MN seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist with CHT to join outpatient hand therapy. The role emphasizes safe, evidence-based care; mentoring is available to develop skills.

Responsibilities include evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention, discharge planning, and educating patients and families. A non-benefit eligible casual position offers opportunities to pick up shifts and contribute to a multidisciplinary rehab team.

Qualifications

• Must hold Minnesota Occupational Therapy license.
• NBCOT certification required.
• Hand Therapist Certification (CHT) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (AHA or Red Cross) required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and reassess patient condition.
• Gather pertinent data and perform examinations.
• Determine OT diagnosis and develop plan of care.
• Set goals with patient or caregiver and communicate discharge plans.
• Provide and adjust interventions and document patient response.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.
• Mentor Hand Therapists and supervise Level II Fieldwork students.
