Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a casual, as-needed fitness professional to join the Center for Personal Fitness—Esko with potential coverage at Miller Hill Health Plaza in Duluth. You will perform fitness assessments, develop personalized exercise programs, and train staff, ensuring safe use of equipment and high-quality care for members.

No formal education is required; however, current BCLS certification or the ability to become certified within 6 months from hire is required to join the team.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• BCLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performing fitness assessments and consultations.
• Interpreting and formulating personalized exercise programs for members.
• Orientate members in safe and proper use of weight and aerobic equipment, and take care of scheduled maintenance of such equipment.
• Teach exercise and fitness classes as needed.
• Train new fitness staff in the policies and procedures of Essentia Health.
