Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking a Care Team Assistant for a casual, day shift at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla in the San Diego area. You will collaborate with care team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and perform clerical, logistic, and patient service duties.

Must be able to speak and read English, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and hold an American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers certification. Prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider.
• Multiple patient care skills preferred.
• Prefer one year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with other care team members to assure safe and optimal patient care.
• Support the unit with a variety of clerical, patient logistic, equipment/supply, charge reconciliation, and patient service duties.
• Assist with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
• Assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and maintains a safe, organized environment.
