Job summary

Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla is seeking a Care Team Assistant for a full-time day shift. You will collaborate with care teams to ensure safe patient care and support clerical, logistics, and patient services on the unit.

The role requires English fluency, strong interpersonal skills, and BLS certification. Preferred are varied patient care skills and 1 year experience in health care settings.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider.
• Preferred: Multiple patient care skills, Preferred: one year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with other care team members to assure safe and optimal patient care.
• Support the unit with clerical, patient logistic, equipment/supply, charge reconciliation, and patient service duties.
• Assist with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
• Assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and maintains a safe, organized environment.
