Job summary

UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor is seeking a Casual Crisis Technician I for the Crisis Residential Unit in Erie, PA. This role supports a multidisciplinary team delivering medication management, therapeutic activities, and patient care in an 8-bed CRU.

Requirements include a high school diploma (B.S. preferred), willingness to learn, and flexibility for night shifts with some weekends. Comprehensive training is provided; safety and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A B.S. degree is preferred.
• Crisis experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and accompanying tasks.
• Participate in multidisciplinary activities and care planning with staff.
• Support the recovery team using CSSP-based principles for patient care.
• Document accurately and maintain safety in the therapeutic environment.
