JAX Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, WV is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinicians in patient care. Responsibilities include greeting patients, taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, assisting with examinations and immunizations, scheduling referrals, and documenting tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Current National CMA certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patient to exam rooms and obtain initial information and vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are ready.
• Assist with adult or child exams, procedures, and immunizations.
• Schedule appointments and set up referrals as needed.
• Assist provider during patient examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients on follow-up expectations.
• Maintain quality control testing logs as required.
• Ensure medical equipment is in proper working condition.
• Assist patients with medication documentation.
• Record test results in patient charts and contact patients as necessary.
• Weekly cleaning and stocking of examination rooms.
