Job summary

Boom Technology is hiring to lead the hands-on commissioning of its new nickel alloy casting unit. You will review equipment specs, plan layouts, and coordinate installation, then execute the first heats with close engineering collaboration.

You will own melt and pour procedures, safety interlocks, and early-cell operations, shaping the process from day one with you at the center of the build and the first heats.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on foundry or melt shop experience.
• High-melt alloy experience and safety knowledge for molten metals.
• Experience installing, rebuilding, or commissioning furnace or casting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Guide the buildout of the casting unit from concept to first heat.
• Run utilities, rig and set equipment, and validate melt/pour procedures.
• Shakedown and commissioning, documenting melts and pours.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians, flag issues early.
