Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Connecticut seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement across the investment casting process, driving waste reduction, productivity gains, and quality enhancements through Lean and CI methods.

You will collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement sustainable process improvements that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, and you will support NPI and process transfers as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading continuous improvement in large-scale manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across the casting operation (wax, shell, melt, finishing, support).
• Identify inefficiencies, waste, bottlenecks, and variation using Lean principles and data analysis.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and CI workshops.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance improvements.
• Develop, track, and report KPIs to measure process performance and improvement effectiveness.
• Analyze processes and implement improvements to increase throughput and reduce scrap.
