Job summary

Watertownchamber seeks a dependable general manufacturing associate to remove excess materials from castings using grinders and hand tools. You will position castings on benches, identify material to remove, and apply appropriate grinding or filing methods.

Work is performed on standard or routine casting repairs, including welding prep. Candidate should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Experience removing excess material with grinders or similar tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Remove excess materials from castings using a small portable grinder, files, belt grinder, etc.
• Position castings on bench or table.
• Determine materials to be removed.
• Apply small portable grinder, file, etc., to remove specified materials.
• Work generally standard or routine castings repaired by welding.
