Elyria Foundry|Hodge Foundry in Elyria, Ohio, is seeking a Casting Finisher (Chipping and grinding) to join a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing team. The role requires precise finishing of castings and safe operation of heavy equipment on a cross-shift schedule.

You will remove fins and excess material, assist in material movement, and maintain clean, efficient workstations while adhering to safety rules and quality specs.

Qualifikationen

• Clean castings by removing fins, burnt-on sand, and excess metal per required specifications.
• Operate overhead cranes and/or jib cranes to move castings safely.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks and recording weights and data.
• Maintain clean and organized workstation and surroundings.
• Follow work instructions and demonstrate willingness to learn.

Position: Casting Finisher (Chipping and grinding)

Work Hours: 3am-11:30pm

AND

Blaster Operator on 2nd shift starting at 1:30pm

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean castings by removing fins, burnt-on sand, and excess metal per required specifications in preparation for customer shipment.
• Operation of overhead cranes and /or jib cranes (pendant and radio controlled) to place castings at workstation and shipment area. Select the appropriate heavy chains and hooks for casting size, shape, and weight.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks, weigh-in trucks as necessary, use scale and record data.
• Clean-up of workstation and surrounding work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials during your shift.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable wearing FULL RESPIRATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT
• Standing and bending for long periods of time.
• Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.

Job Type:

Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.
