Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Prior experience working in a Lean or ISO environment.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finish castings by grinding and cleaning according to established instructions.
  • Remove castings from molds and shake out excess material.
  • Utilize burning torches and air arc equipment to reduce material to the appropriate size.
  • Operate Roto Blast equipment to remove debris from products while wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Operate material handling equipment to move products to appropriate processing areas.
  • Stage finished products and remove material from staging areas as needed.
  • Remove unwanted materials from work areas and transport them to designated disposal locations.
  • Maintain and record process‑related data and documentation.

Help Prepare Quality Castings for Production

As a Casting Finisher, you'll play an important role in preparing cast products for the next stage of production. This hands‑on position focuses on grinding, cleaning, finishing, and staging castings while supporting safe and efficient manufacturing operations.


We're looking for someone who enjoys physical, hands‑on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is committed to safety in a manufacturing environment.


What You'll Do


Prepare & Finish Castings


  • Follow direction provided by the Floor Supervisor or designee.
  • Prepare products for processing by grinding and cleaning castings according to established instructions.
  • Remove castings from molds and shake out excess material from mold castings.
  • Utilize burning torches and air arc equipment to reduce material to the appropriate size.
  • Operate Roto Blast equipment to remove debris from products while wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Operate material handling equipment to move products to appropriate processing areas.
  • Stage finished products and remove material from staging areas as needed.
  • Remove unwanted materials from work areas and transport them to designated disposal locations.
  • Maintain and record process‑related data and documentation.

Support Lean Manufacturing & Workplace Organization


  • Participate in 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives as assigned.
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure quality and consistency throughout the finishing process.

Promote Safety & Teamwork


  • Maintain a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers, management, customers, and others.

  • Be available to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed.

What You'll Bring


Education & Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Prior experience working in a Lean or ISO environment.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.

Skills & Qualifications


  • Computer literacy, primarily for attendance and job tracking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to work successfully in an environment requiring flexibility, initiative, and independent decision‑making.

Physical Requirements


This position is based in a manufacturing environment and requires sitting and standing for extended periods. The role requires good hand‑eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, lift, carry, move, and maneuver materials as assigned. Employees must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and may be required to travel domestically.
