Job summary

Toyota's Powertrain Casting Engineering Department seeks a Casting Engineer to establish capital budgets, set specs, and drive pre-production for aluminum cylinder blocks, BEV components, and housing. You will manage tooling, lead trials, and ensure cost-efficient readiness for SOP.

Based in Jackson, TN, this onsite role requires hands-on leadership, strong project-management skills, and experience with high-value capital projects to support NA manufacturing objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Production preparation/manufacturing experience required.
• Experience leading capital projects >$5M.
• Experience with project cycles from planning to SOP.

Responsibilities

• Establish capital budgets for major powertrain projects.
• Set equipment and die specs; follow through delivery.
• Lead adjustment and quality confirmation trials.
• Governing TBP problem solving and countermeasure activities.
• Lead pre-production phase; schedule, install contractors, review materials.
