Job summary

Sherman + Reilly, Inc. is seeking a senior procurement professional to own the casting and molded component category at our Chattanooga, TN facility. You will manage supplier strategy, daily PO execution, and long-lead casting lead times with deep Foundry engagement.

You’ll lead RFQs, negotiate long-term agreements, and ensure supply availability while coordinating with Engineering on manufacturability and tooling costs. This is a hands-on, on-site role in a growing category.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent hands-on casting procurement experience.
• Five+ years in procurement, sourcing or category management in manufacturing, with castings or tooling.
• ERP/MRP experience and strong Excel for spend, lead-time and supplier analysis.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specs; talk with foundry teams.
• Direct foundry experience or sourcing of castings (sand-cast, low-pressure or permanent mold).

Responsibilities

• Own casting and molded component category end to end from supplier strategy to PO execution.
• Qualify and develop foundries to build depth and capability.
• Lead RFQs, cost analyses, negotiations and long-term agreements including capacity commitments.
• Keep production supplied: run MRP output for your category, resolve shortages, and manage delivery dates.
• Own the pattern and tooling records for the category, including ownership and location.
• Collaborate with Engineering early in new product development on tooling and manufacturability.
• Work with Quality on supplier qualification and first-article submissions.
