Job summary

Qualifications

• An earned associate degree (or higher) in a laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality to protect patient privacy.
• Previous data entry or laboratory/healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen quality and prepare the specimen for processing.
• Accession specimens into the supported LIS system and perform data entry.
• Assist on routine needle procedures and prepare slides.

Skills

Ability to work independently

Excellent customer service skills

Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology

Competency using multiple computer systems

Education

Associate degree in laboratory science

Bachelor's degree preferred
