Job summary

Cherokee Nation Entertainment seeks a Surveillance Agent to monitor the casino floor and properties, identify theft, and report noncompliance with gaming regulations. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of State, Tribal, and Federal rules, and collaboration with departments and law enforcement.

Responsibilities include monitoring cash handling, reviewing video, maintaining logs, and testifying to report accuracy as needed.

Qualifications

• 12 hours of college credit including Composition 1
• 6 months of work experience in a related field
• Ability to speak and write proficiently in English
• Excellent report writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to do tedious work and work well within a team
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Surveil gaming areas to prevent theft and noncompliance.
• Monitor properties for safety and security concerns.
• Maintain knowledge of gaming regulations (State, Tribal, and Federal).
• Identify variances and report to a supervisor.
• Be familiar with controls for all departments and positions.
• Monitor cash handling, storage areas, and transfers for loss prevention.
• Respond to requests for video reviews and other information from departments.
• Maintain proficiency in game play standards, betting strategy, and dealer procedures to identify cheating or scams.
• Assist security with video reviews and monitoring during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain logs and records of daily activities, equipment malfunctions, and investigations.
• Operate a computerized report management system.
• Maintain chain of custody for all video evidence and reports.
• May be required to testify to the accuracy of reports or video evidence.
