Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Security Surveillance professional to monitor casino activity and ensure compliance with state and federal gaming laws. The role includes recording events, maintaining high standards of guest relations, and assisting in emergency responses.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1+ year in a security or gaming-related field, with vision and regulatory knowledge. Flexible shifts and holiday/weekend availability are expected.

Qualifications

• This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school education, minimum of one (1) or more years of experience in a Security related field or gaming related positions (Cage, Slot, Table Games or Audit) preferred.
• Analytical, observational, organizational and interpersonal and communication skills.
• 20/20 corrected vision is required.

Responsibilities

• Observe, monitor, and record all activity occurring in the casino area and record observations in writing as required.
• Record events in table games, slots, cage, hard count, soft count.
• Must have knowledge of credit procedures and gaming regulations.
• Perform duties in compliance with company standards and gaming regulations.
• Coordinate and respond to emergency situations.
• Disclose irregularities to management.
• Demonstrate responsible gaming and alcohol service awareness.
• Clean and sanitize work and public spaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
