Job Summary

Receive and pay out money; cash checks; cash in chips; maintain accurate money count in cash drawer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify amount turned over from preceding shift upon checking in for shift.
• Verify all money in wrappers for accuracy.
• When cashing personal checks, get identification before running check through the check cashing verification system.
• Make change, cash in chips, and cash in NRT receipts.
• Keep drawer locked to maintain integrity of money; any discrepancies at end of shift are cashier's responsibility.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation; respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies or staff; write and present information to management; perform normal mathematical computations for duties; define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions; interpret extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as cage cashier, cashier in retail or banking or other money handling experience.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with arms and hands, bend and lift at least 25 pounds. Must tolerate casino‑related environmental factors including second hand smoke, excessive noise levels and stress related to serving customers in a high‑pressure fast‑paced environment.
