Job summary

San Carlos Apache Tribal Gaming in Arizona is seeking a Server to provide courteous service in our Food & Beverage outlets. The role includes serving food and beverages, handling orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced casino environment.

Requirements include minimum restaurant experience, 19+ years old, and compliance with required training such as Food Handler’s and liquor law certificates. This is an on-site, part-time position with tips potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or food service as wait staff or cashier.
• Must be 19 years of age.
• No felony, theft or stealing convictions.
• Pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check required.
• Knowledge of dining and food maintenance operations and customer service.
• Knowledge of all menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages and desserts.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to service customers in a professional appearance and manner.
• Ability to follow instructions in a stressful and busy environment.
• Food Handler’s Training within 30 days and Certificate valid every 2 years.
• Arizona Title 4 BASIC Liquor Law Training within 90 days and Certificate valid every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Presents menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Serves beverages to patrons of the Apache Gold Casino.
• Relays orders to the cook and serves courses from the kitchen and service bar areas.
• Tends to patrons, responds to requests, and determines when a meal is complete.
• Keeps floors and work areas clean.
• Maintains casino cleanliness and safety (ashtrays, glasses).
• Takes orders and prepares beverages for guests.
• Operates the POS cash register.
• Computes bills and accepts payments.
• Provides good customer service and checks on patrons.
• Responds to customer requests.
• Reconciles guest checks at end of shift.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work area.
• Performs other duties (seating, bussing, setting tables, keeping floor clear).
• Maintains good communication with coworkers and a positive work environment.
• Performs other duties as required.
