Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor to oversee the Security Department during assigned shifts, ensuring guest, employee, and property safety. The role involves leading a security team, conducting pre-shift briefings, and maintaining shift schedules.

Responsibilities include reviewing incident reports, authorizing arrests, and supporting officers on duty while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months supervisory experience in casino security or a comparable field.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop security staff.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills for emergencies and critical incidents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to conduct briefings and prepare documentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses as mandated by authorities.
• Capability to stand and walk throughout a standard shift and perform physical exertion as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct security team members on job performance and adherence to protocols.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings informing staff of events, concerns, and priorities.
• Establish and maintain shift schedules and delegate work based on needs and staff.
• Review, evaluate, and approve incident reports and documentation for accuracy.
• Review and authorize arrests and respond to emergencies requiring supervisory intervention.
• Monitor personnel to ensure adherence to laws, policies, and standards of conduct.
• Provide direct support to security officers as needed.
• Execute additional duties and special projects as assigned by senior management.
