Job summary

Rail City Casino in Sparks, NV is seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety of guests, employees and property. The role involves responding to emergencies, patrolling, enforcing policies and escorting individuals as needed.

Candidates must be able to stand/walk for long shifts, tolerate noise and smoke, and meet license requirements such as Gaming Card, Alcohol Awareness Card and Driver’s License. This is a full-time on-site position at Rail City Casino.

Responsibilities

• Execute emergency response and evacuation procedures as directed by the manager.
• Monitor and assist in the enforcement of casino policies and procedures; federal, state and local laws.
• Oversee the transportation and exchange of all money transactions between the cage, count room, and casino games including fills, chip runs, slot drop and table game drop.
• Patrol and/or periodically inspect assigned internal and external areas to identify fire and safety hazards and breeches in security.
• Investigate all incidents, accidents, and/or events: take initial report and conduct interviews with appropriate follow-up.
• Remain visible and accessible to guests and employees providing a sense of security, deterring potential problems, and answering questions.
• Monitor suspicious persons in the casino, particularly those attempting to enter an unauthorized area.
• At the discretion of the management, trespass individuals.
• Respond to and resolve guest complaints when able.
• Provide escorts to both guests and team members.
• Participates in Marketing data collection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
