Job summary

Black Oak Casino Resort is seeking a skilled HVAC/refrigeration technician to perform maintenance, installation and repair of related systems at the Tuolumne, CA site. The role emphasizes safety, precision and reliability in a busy casino environment.

The technician will conduct preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, and air-conditioning systems, troubleshoot and repair electrical components, and maintain detailed logs of work and materials.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess universal EPA Refrigeration License and be in good standing.
• Experience with HVAC and refrigeration trade practices.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a team and convey a professional image.
• Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license and pass drug test.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including compressors, condensers, chillers, and related components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units and boilers and perform necessary adjustments.
• Repair or replace defective parts in units and controls including thermostats, controls and valves.
• Operate a variety of tools and test equipment, maintain inventory.
• Repair and rebuild compressors for refrigeration machines and test boiler operations.
• Perform electrical maintenance on HVAC systems and connect motors to control panels.
• Lubricate and service motors, pumps, fans and related equipment.
• Install systems, copper tubing and insulate pipes; test joints and insulate components.
• Maintain records of time, labor and materials and write required reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
