Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Food Server to join Hollywood Casino & Hotel in Kentucky. Base pay is $7.50 per hour plus tips, with schedule coverage from early morning to late evening.

Earned tips are a significant portion of compensation, with benefits such as day-one medical coverage and 401(k) opportunities depending on position. Responsibilities include delivering fast, courteous service, handling transactions accurately, and promoting casino events.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Excellent customer service/communication skills required.
• Experience in fast-paced customer service or cash-handling environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, professional service to restaurant guests and staff.
• Engage guests in conversations using the 10/5 rule (10 feet: eye contact, 5 feet: greet).
• Address guests by name at least twice during interactions.
• Greet guests entering the restaurant and seat or assist them as needed.
• Operate a cash register/POS system, handle cash and transactions accurately.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and dining room per safety standards.
• Resolve service issues using the service recovery toolbox and uphold guest satisfaction.
• Be aware of and communicate casino events and directions to guests.
• Thank guests, invite them back, and encourage return play.
