Job summary

Winnavegas Casino Resort is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to supervise and coordinate cleaning tasks in all areas of the casino for a given shift. Reports to the Housekeeping Manager.

All Housekeeping Supervisors are working supervisors and participate in training and standards enforcement. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and the ability to obtain a gaming license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Comprehensive computer skills.
• Six months to one-year related experience or training.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Good organizational and clerical skills required.
• Must be able to obtain gaming license.
• Bi-cultural experience preferred.
• Native American preference.
• Ability to read, comprehend simple instruction and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Performs supervisory duties such as interviewing applicants, maintaining personnel records, performance appraisals, discipline, addressing complaints and resolving problems on shift.
• Responsible for organizing shift assignments and work schedules, adequate staffing, conducting shift meetings, training, and work procedures.
• Overseeing and assisting in the general cleaning of the casino and ensures quality of work of assigned shift according to department standards.
• Training and enforcing proper methods of cleaning and safety procedures.
• Enforcing all policies and procedures as established.
• Must keep informed of all casino activities and promotions, must possess good public relations skills, and be courteous and helpful to guests and associates at all times.
• Exhibit good leadership skills, and always perform duties in a positive and professional manner.
• Read, understand, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Personnel Policies and Procedures, and Department Rules.
• Attend all meetings and/or training as directed by management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
