As a Pomptonian cashier, your ability will be called upon to maintain all monetary transactions, recognize reimbursable meals in the National School Lunch and/or School Breakfast Program, interpret and record eligibility information at point of service, and be aware of the procedures approved by the Bureau of Child Nutrition.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain all monetary transactions.
2. Recognize reimbursable meals in the National School Lunch and/or School Breakfast Program.
3. Interpret and record eligibility information at point of service.
4. Be aware of the procedures approved by the Bureau of Child Nutrition.
5. Assist with food preparation as needed.
6. Support other team members in their roles.
7. Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and deliver superior customer service.
8. Participate in annual continuing education/training programs.

Qualifications

1. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
2. Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting (25-50 pounds).
3. Ability to use general cafeteria equipment (e.g. warmer, fryer, slicer, grill, POS system, etc.).
4. Ability to come to work promptly and regularly.
5. Ability to take direction and work well with others.
6. Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
7. Ability to concentrate and perform duties accurately.
8. Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures.
9. Ability to react to change productively and handle other tasks assigned.
10. Ability to complete all applicable training programs.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
