Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a friendly cashier to provide extraordinary service at the check stand in a fast-paced, festive store environment. You will operate the cash register, bag groceries, and balance the till while upholding safety and accuracy standards.

The role requires English proficiency, a customer-first attitude, and the ability to work flexible hours including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to count and perform simple math accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and balance the till accurately.
• Bag groceries and keep front-end area clean and organized.
• Maintain knowledge of produce codes and perform transactions safely.
• Assist customers and respond to requests; call for management when needed.
• Follow dress code, safety, and company policies.
• Provide carry-out assistance for large orders.
